Fort Polk serves as a training post for units preparing to deploy to fight the nation’s wars and also deploys combat units. They are home to the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC); the 3rd Brigade, 10th Mountain Division; the 3/353 Infantry Brigade; Tenant Units; and the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital.
