SERVICE ORDER (SO) PROCEDURE FOR BUILDINGS
UNDER BARRACKS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (BMP)
1. Service member (SM) calls barracks management contractor (BMC) to submit a service order (SO).
2. The BMC is the approving authority to submit all SOs to the maintenance contractor.
SO are submitted as follow:
a. Monday thru Friday (excluding Federal Holidays), 0730 thru 1600 hrs, ONLY approved barracks management personnel will submit all SOs to the maintenance contractor.
b. After the BMC’s normal duty hours and weekends, as follows:
(1) Priority 1: The maintenance contractor must receive the SOs from BMC staff or SM.
(2) Priority 2/3: The maintenance contractor must notify the SM that due to the priority number, he/she will have to contact BMC staff during normal duty hours.
3. The BMC staff acquires SO number and provides the maintenance contractor with Centralized Barracks Management’s office phone numbers, (706) 545-4086/1957/6439.
For a Priority 1 SO, BMC provides the maintenance contractor with on duty POC name and cell phone number.
4. The maintenance contractor will contact BMC staff to schedule an appointment for the SO. The BMC staff will contact the service member to request their attendance on site.
5. Upon completion of SO, the maintenance contractor shall have the SM or BMC personnel sign completed SO paperwork.
6. This procedure pertains to the buildings listed in TE 5.1-008
8. The BMC’s project manager shall furnish the contractor with a list of personnel authorized to submit service orders, to include as alternates if BMC personnel cannot be reached in emergency/after duty hours: the Unaccompanied Personnel Housing(UPH) Coordinator; Chief, UPH; and Chief, Housing Division/RCI.
