About this file

This document is a Request for Bid (RFB) from the City of Oklahoma City, specifically for painting and related services through the General Services Department, Building Management Division. The intent is to establish a pricing agreement for interior and exterior painting, sealing services, wall covering installation, and surface rehabilitation services. The contract will cover painting of surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, jambs, window frames, and roof coping, with the potential for additional installation work as specified by the Project Manager. Projects under this agreement are limited to those costing less than $100,000, with larger projects to be managed by the Public Works Department.

The pricing agreement includes detailed specifications for supplier qualifications, environmental considerations, and work requirements. Suppliers must have at least five years of experience in painting and construction-related services and provide verifiable references. The city may require the use of "Green" products meeting U.S. Green Building Council LEED criteria, with approved manufacturers including Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, and others. The contract includes comprehensive insurance requirements, with bidders needing to provide worker's compensation, general liability, and automobile insurance. Suppliers will be responsible for proper waste disposal, surface preparation, and providing a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship. Projects will be awarded based on project size, with those under $10,000 going to the lowest available contracted supplier, and larger projects requiring competitive quotes.
