About this file
This is a Taxpayer Protection Amendment Disclosure form for the City of Pasadena, California, applicable to contractors and organizations seeking on-call structural engineering services. The City of Pasadena Public Works Engineering Division is soliciting qualified firms to provide structural engineering services for maintenance and capital improvement projects involving City-owned buildings and infrastructure. Proposers must demonstrate at least five years of experience providing structural engineering services of comparable nature, size, and complexity. The City may award separate five-year agreements to multiple qualified firms, with work authorized through individual written Task Orders that establish scope, staffing, deliverables, schedule, and not-to-exceed fees. No work may commence without written authorization from the City, and if initial consultant negotiations fail on Task Order terms, the City may negotiate with alternative on-call consultants.
Compensation under each agreement shall not exceed $1,000,000, with no minimum amount of work or compensation guaranteed. Selection for individual Task Orders will be based on relevant expertise, proposed personnel, availability, past performance, schedule, assignment complexity, and the ability to negotiate fair and reasonable fees. The disclosure form requires contractors and organizations to identify their entity type, trustees, directors, partners, officers, and those with more than 10% equity, participation, or revenue interest. This disclosure is mandated by the City of Pasadena Charter Article XVII Taxpayer Protection Amendment and must be completed and submitted by all prospective contractors prior to contract award.
