About this file

This document provides details on a federal contract solicitation for maintenance and repair services on the USS BATAAN (LHD 5). The Naval Sea Systems Command seeks a contractor to execute the FY20 Selected Restricted Availability for the USS BATAAN, to include maintenance, modernization, and repair work. The availability is expected to require a contractor with substantial facilities, including a USS WASP class capable pier, as well as resources to complete, coordinate, and integrate multiple areas of ship maintenance and modernization. Interested parties must register in the System for Award Management and monitor the beta.SAM.gov site for solicitation release and amendments. While not set aside for small businesses due to the complexity and scale of work, all responsible sources may submit a proposal. The solicitation, work plans, drawings and other documents are available by request. The Navy anticipates a single award by June 2020 for work with an availability start of September 2020 and delivery date of December 2021 at a contractor's East or Gulf Coast facility.
