About this file

This is a Location Specification Sheet (LSS) from the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Environmental Services Section for an aerial drone herbicide application project at a wetland mitigation site. The project involves herbicide treatment of Phragmites (invasive wetland vegetation) at the M-53/Armada location in Macomb County, Michigan, specifically on the north side of 33 Mile Road approximately 0.5 miles east of North Avenue in Armada Township. The contract covers treatment of up to 3 acres, with shape files of treatment areas to be shared digitally with the selected applicator following bid review and award. The estimated contract start and end dates are not specified in the document.

Pricing proposals must include all materials, staging, and aerial drone application costs on a per-acre basis, with bidders providing pricing for treatment of up to 3 acres of Phragmites. The State reserves the right to purchase less than the full acreage listed and is not obligated to purchase the stated quantity. Bidders must certify that prices were developed independently. Procurement inquiries should be directed to ReChelle Kendrick at the MDOT Contract Services Division, Purchasing Unit (517-335-5905 or KendrickR1@michigan.gov), while project-specific questions should be directed to Program Manager Jeremie Wilson (517-335-4394 or WilsonJ3@michigan.gov).
