1. Sheet A-5 Lists the chair rail as 4 ¼ but the specs list the chair rail as 2 ¼. Which is correct?

ALLEGHENY MILLWORK WEBSITE SHOWS 2 1/4" IS AVAILABLE UNDER BASIS OF DESIGN.

2. 08-31-13 is for access doors but we don’t see any on the print. Is there some that did not get on the drawing?

BASED ON SHOP DRAWINGS AND FIELD CONDITIONS, ANY ITEMS REQUIRING ACCESS WILL

NEED AN ACCESS DOOR, SUCH AS VALVES, FILTERS, ETC. SEE DRAWING NOTES, SUCH

AS GENERAL NOTE 7 ON DRAWING H-1, AND GENERAL NOTE 8 ON DRAWING P-1.

3. Will we need to provide testing to validate the STC rating of the rooms?

We did not see it in the closeout. NO.

4. There are no fire extinguishers on the plans. How many are required and what are their locations?

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ARE SHOWN ON DRAWING A-3.

5. H-1 lists a symbol for an access door and spec 08-31-13 is listed. We could not locate any of either on the prints. Is there a requirement for these?

6. Are there any special requirements other than normal fire stopping for penetrations through the walls inside the command post area? NO.

7. Will the SIPRnet cabling be required to be a specific color? NO.

8. Is a lockbox over the faceplate for the SIPRnet required? NO.

9. Will any conduit connections for the SIPRnet be required to have epoxy applied along with a stripe to allow for easy identification of tampering?

NO.

10. Does the bonding/grounding system in the communication room required double attachment points at each location of bonding or grounding termination?

Follow the current NEC and BICSI standards on grounding/ bonding. The grounding/bonding should go back to the main building service grounding system. There should only be one grounding source within a room.
