CMF SOW ( E X A M P L E ) 07-18-07
EXHIBIT - G
CONFIDENTIAL
To: Supervisory Construction Representative - BOP Site Contracting Officer - BOP Senior Project Manager - BOP Projects Administrator - BOP
From: CMF Field Manager
Re: Field Manager Report (E X A M P L E) Week of June xx, xxxx through June xx, xxxx
FCI MENDOTA
Date: June xx, xxxx cc: file xxxx
A. Due to the heavy rains the site received from Monday p.m. thru Thurs a.m., the Contractor’s previous work week plan was significantly disrupted.
B. The look-ahead plan received 6/xx/xx includes xx activities on the critical path schedule in addition to the following activities that are near the critical path:
1. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
2. nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
3. oooooooooooooooooo
4. pppppppppppppp
C. The Contractor continues to generally follow the accepted schedule. Area 51is being avoided at the moment because of the need for the work area to dry out further. Area 43 has lay down material that will be used up per current plans by the end of the week which should improve his work flow in that area.
D. CURRENT ISSUES - new items
The BOP issued one (1) formal deficiency notice last week.
A00 -116 FO# 016 was issued regarding the general housing cell doors at Bldg H3 that are being installed on site.
The doors are not equipped with the hinge butts that were submitted by the DBC’s vendor and an acceptable answer as to their origin has not been provided. This may be a ‘Buy America Act’ violation at a minimum.
Recommended Action by the BOP: This item needs to be discussed and resolved at the Weekly Progress Mtg w/ the DBC tomorrow. Depending on the onsite DBC team response, the item may need to be discussed w/ offsite DBC management as the impact on the schedule could be significant if the supplier of the material cannot certify their manufacture.
D00 -009 DO# 09 was issued regarding the corrective work that the prime Mech Sub performed at the Control Center.
The reinstalled duct soffit still appears to interfere with the view from the console area, west toward the fence line. CMF Inspector, _________ , at the coordination mtg last week, confirmed that the Superintendent in that area clearly described the correction to be made to the Sub. And the Sub had agreed the fix was do-able. The DBC look ahead schedule indicates that an impact on the critical path will occur w/in the next 2 weeks.
Recommended Action by the BOP: This has been discussed for over 30 days and appears to be a pattern on the part of the field reps for this Sub of ignoring the legitimate concerns and instructions of the DBC. If not resolved by the application for payment, retainage may be the next step. We’ll keep working w/ all parties.

D. ISSUES - old business items
A00 -098 FO# 098 - I reviewed the roof flashing late Friday afternoon w/ ______, BOP Construction Representative and we agreed that the significant progress was made and that this item can be closed.
No other old business items are outstanding at this time.
E. SCHEDULE STATUS:
< The Design Build Contractor’s (DBC) May Schedule Revision C17A reflects zero (0) days of float with an estimated contract completion date of April x, xxxx.
The DBC is testing security electronic equipment at the SHU and completing terminations at General Housing Unit 1and 2. Fencing activities have resumed at the north end of the site and will follow at the south end of the site. The DBC has started painting the Texcote material and has completed the south side of General Housing Units 4-6 at the second floors.
C With zero float it is obvious that these critical path areas need to be discussed tomorrow and throughout the completion of the project. The DBC has lost all float over the past 3 months and does not appear likely to regain any space in his schedule.
F. CURRENT PROJECT STATUS:
C Although the items noted previously are a point of concern, I believe the DBC is making adequate progress on most areas of the site.
C Deficiency lists that were copied to the Superintendent and onsite Manager last month for the Building D areas are being assigned to a work force. And the Inspectors informed me this morning that the UNICOR office areas look very finished. The Div 15 controls that were such an issue in Health Services previously appear to be fixed.
G. MISCELLANEOUS
C None at this time.
H. POTENTIAL ISSUES or CLAIMS < None that are known at this time.
