Contract Summary
This is a Continuing Architectural and Engineering Services Contract (AE055) between the State of Florida, Department of Corrections (Owner) and Tetra Tech, Inc., an engineering firm based in Estero, Florida. The contract was executed on December 22, 2010, under the selection process authorized by Chapter 287 F.S., and covers professional services for Region III of the Department's operational area. The contract was approved by the Office of Administration, Budget office, Office of the General Counsel, and the Director of Budget and Finance.
Tetra Tech, Inc. provides professional architectural and engineering services for projects with estimated construction costs not exceeding $2,000,000 or engineering studies with consulting fees not exceeding $200,000. Services include design development, construction documents, environmental permitting, bidding, and construction phase administration for projects within Region III. Compensation is based on hourly billing rates specified in Attachment A, with rates ranging from $35 per hour for engineering interns to $185 per hour for senior project managers. Additional services beyond the basic scope—including surveys, soils investigations, extended construction observation, and specialized consultant services—are authorized separately and compensated either as lump sums or as multiples of actual payroll costs. The contract operates on an as-needed basis with projects authorized individually, remains in effect for a reasonable period required for design and construction completion, and includes a renewal option for one additional two-year period at the Owner's discretion. The contract may be terminated by the Owner with 30 days' notice or by Tetra Tech with 120 days' notice.
