RE: CN208 TA9 CO1

Fort Zachary Taylor State Park – Parking Lot Improvements

Dear Theresa Carron;

For your review, Calvin Giordano & Associates (CGA), has provided a proposal summary and man-hour documentation for the services tasks identified below and attached:

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Bureau of Design and Construction (BDC) would like to asphalt the existing overflow parking lot (just west of primary parking lot) into a permanent asphalt parking lot for extra parking within the Fort Zachary Taylor State Park (FZTSP) located in Key West, Florida. Conceptual Plans were previously prepared, and the standard 75 space asphaltic parking lot layout was selected by the owner for the basis of this proposal. These improvements will be constructed in one phase. As requested by FDEP, this proposal has been broken into portion one (Subtasks 1 through 2, provided previously under separate cover) and portion two (Subtasks 3 through 14, provided herein). This work order is to provide surveying, landscape architecture and civil design services; and subconsultant geotechnical engineering services for the proposed asphalt parking lot improvements at the Fort Zachary Taylor State Park.

This proposal excludes adjacent FZTSP roadway improvements and any underground or overhead utility improvements, if necessary. It also excludes electrical engineering services, hydrologic/hydraulic engineering or flood plain permitting associated with FEMA and/or FDEP services necessary for the completion of this project.

Additionally, no proposed environmental permitting is included for improvements associated with wetlands for this project. Should any of the excluded items be requested by FDEP, additional scope and budget will be required.

Please review the attached Proposal Summary and deliverables.

Sincerely, CALVIN, GIORDANO & ASSOCIATES, INC.

James Messick, P.E.
