RE: CN208 TA13
Oleta River State Park – Eastern Roadway Improvements Project
Dear Jim McGuire, For your review, Calvin, Giordano & Associates (CGA) has provided a proposal summary and man-hour documentation for the services subtasks identified below:
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), Bureau of Design and Construction (BDC) would like to asphalt and widen portions of the existing gravel roadway (24’ maximum) as shown in the attached exhibit. The limits extend from the existing Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FFWCC) gated entrance (480’ east of FFWCC eastern driveway connection) to NE 34th Ave. within the Oleta River State Park (OLSP) located in North Miami, Florida. Additionally, the new 24’ wide asphalt roadway will extend to the existing Cabins located 700’ to the south, and three one-lane asphalt driveways to private park ranger residences within the state park. These improvements will be completed in one phase. This work order is to provide surveying.
geotechnical and civil engineering design services for the proposed asphalt roadway improvements at the Oleta River State Park.
This proposal excludes any onsite underground or overhead utility improvements, if necessary. Additionally, no proposed landscaping, environmental, electrical services, and hydrologic/hydraulic engineering associated with wetlands or proposed culverts are included in this contract. Because roadway improvements are not anticipated to extend into the current CCCL line, a FDEP CCCL permit will not be required. Should any of the excluded items be requested by FDEP, additional scope and budget will be required.
Please review the attached Proposal Summary and deliverables.
Sincerely, CALVIN, GIORDANO & ASSOCIATES, INC.
