About this file

This document is a Brand Name Only Authorization form from the Arizona Department of Administration's State Procurement Office, submitted by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS). The request is made by Melanie Guyette, Deputy CPO for DPS, and was approved by Jessica Klein, Compliance Deputy Assistant Director, on April 20, 2022.

The authorization is for avionics equipment for fixed and rotary wing aircraft, with multiple approved brands including Aerosonic, Avidyne, Axnes, Churchill Navigation, Collins, Garmin, Geneva Avionics, Goodrich, Rockwell Collins, Rotheta, and Technisonic. The procurement is for a 5-year term with an estimated cost of $5,000,000. Potential suppliers include Hangar One, Aero Products, Able Aerospace, Aviall Services, Heliponents, and Bell Textron. The justification emphasizes the need for FAA-certified parts, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) components, and strict compliance with aviation regulations to support the DPS Air Rescue program's critical mission of emergency response and strategic support.
