About this file
This technical bulletin is a product specification document from Power Service Diesel Additives for their Premium Arctic Express Diesel Fuel Antigel, a diesel fuel additive designed to improve cold-weather fuel performance. The document details the product's technical characteristics, benefits, and performance specifications, with references to industry standards like the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM) and testing methodologies such as CEC F-98-08 DW10B and ASTM D2068.
The product is a concentrated diesel fuel additive formulated to lower the Cold-Filter Plugging Point (CFPP) and Pour Point (PP) of diesel fuels, including biodiesel blends. It modifies wax crystal structure to prevent fuel-filter plugging, contains an anti-icing additive, and meets premium diesel fuel detergent specifications. The additive is available in multiple packaging sizes, from 1-gallon containers treating up to 3,000 gallons to 6,000-gallon volumes treating up to 18,000,000 gallons, with a treatment ratio of 1:3,000. The product is designed for use when temperatures drop below 30°F and provides benefits such as improved injector cleanliness, reduced power loss, and protection against fuel system corrosion.

Premium Arctic Express Reduces Power Loss in DW10B Test
Prevents Fuel Gelling and Meets or Exceeds NCWM Premium Diesel Fuel Detergent Specifications:
Premium Arctic Express Diesel Fuel Antigel is formulated with industry-leading cold flow improver technology. It lowers the Cold-Filter Plugging Point (CFPP) and Pour Point (PP) by changing the size and shape of wax crystals contained in diesel fuel to remain small enough to flow through fuel-filters without plugging. It also contains an anti-icing additive to help protect against fuel-filter icing.
Premium Arctic Express is also formulated with the most technologically advanced diesel detergent for today’s High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) diesel engines and it meets these premium diesel fuel specifications:
• CEC DW10B Injector Deposit Control <2% Power Loss
• Improved Filter Blocking Tendency ASTM D2068
• NACE Corrosion Protection B+ Rating Minimum
Premium Arctic Express keeps injectors clean, prevents power loss and improves the filterability of asphaltenes and monoglycerides found in diesel fuel, resulting in decreased maintenance and downtime. It also protects against fuel system corrosion which can lead to tank failures and provides a rating of (A) in NACE Corrosion Testing.

Prevents Fuel-Filter Plugging The ASTM D6751 limit for monoglycerides in B100 is .24% to help prevent filter plugging. For the ASTM D2068 Filter Blocking Tendency (FBT) test, 0.2% of monoglycerides are added to a base ULSD fuel and the filter blocking tendency is measured. Fuels containing elevated levels of monoglycerides and treated with Premium Arctic Express provide filterability performance well below the maximum specification of 2.25 for premium diesel fuel. Premium Arctic Express helps prevent fuel-filter plugging.
