1. SCOPE
This appendix establishes the minimum performance, design, fabrication, installation, and test requirements for three (3) stock assist vehicles in Buildings 510, at Truax Field Wisconsin.
The work shall be completed in accordance with this appendix, the
Cover Purchase Description (PD), and Air Force Drawing NWS912-01.
This appendix covers all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete installation of the system.
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
Applicable documents shall be in accordance with Section 2 of the
Cover PD.
3. REQUIREMENTS
3.1. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
Three (3) stock assist vehicles shall be provided to interface with the pallet racks specified in Appendix A. The stock assist vehicles will be used to store and retrieve property, perform inventory checks, location verification and updates.
3.2. CHARACTERISTICS
3.2.1. LIFT HEIGHT
The minimum lift height for the operator platform shall be nominal 120 inches.
3.2.2. CAPACITY
The operator platform shall have a minimum capacity of 300 pounds. The powered load tray shall have a minimum capacity of
200 pounds.
3.2.3. STANDARD FEATURES
Each vehicle shall the following features:
• Minimum 200 amp-hour maintenance free battery pack with on board battery charger
• Battery discharge indicators
• Key switch
• Front and rear strobe lights
• Simultaneous travel and lift

• Interlocking operator compartment gates
• Dual feet sensors
• Hour meter
• Horn
• Front and side bumpers
• Retractable charger cord
• Remote manual descent

4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1. INSPECTIONS
The system shall be inspected to verify that it meets all the requirements of sections 1, 2, and 3 of this appendix and the
Cover PD. These inspections shall be completed as part of the system checkout test and again as a part of the quality conformance test.
4.2. TESTS
The following tests shall be performed on the system as part of the system checkout test and again as a part of the quality conformance test.

1. 3.1. The vehicles shall be tested for one hour as registered on the hour meter. It shall have a fully charged battery before testing begins.
The Contractor shall operate the vehicles using Government-furnished test loads. The loads will be placed and removed from any storage locations of the pallet racks. If the loads cannot be placed and removed from any storage locations, the vehicle fails the test.
4.3 CERTIFICATIONS
The Contractor shall provide certification that the following requirements have been met. All certifications
