About this file

This is Attachment K (Advanced Restaurant Equipment) from Virginia State University's RFP 212-25-010-CSW for Dining Services, which outlines requirements for a Total Oil Management Solution (TOM) for campus dining facilities. The document specifies that offerors must provide and upgrade to the latest campus dining services technology, specifically focusing on a centralized system for tracking and monitoring oil usage across campus facilities. The system requirements include fresh oil and waste oil tanks with lines connected to fryers, automatic controls for adding/filtering/disposing, outdoor lockable fill box for deliveries and waste pickup, onsite training and 24/7 service, and a customer web portal for usage reporting.

The document includes a technical diagram showing "The Smart Solution" which demonstrates the oil management system's components and benefits. Key advantages outlined include elimination of manual oil handling (35 lb jugs), prevention of oil waste and spills, reduced employee exposure to hot oil, decreased workplace injuries, improved security, and elimination of waste from oil containers. If offerors cannot provide the specified TOM Solution, they must propose a comparable alternative technology that accomplishes similar objectives.
