About this file

This is a certification document from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) addressing conflict of interest requirements for contractors and consultants on the Bridge Asset Management project. The certification, dated September 9, 2020, requires authorized representatives of contractors and consultants to formally attest compliance with Section 57-1-350(G) of the South Carolina Code of Laws. The document establishes ongoing obligations that extend through the entire contract period, ensuring no conflicts of interest arise during procurement, award, or contract execution.

The certification mandates that no member of the SCDOT Commission maintains any direct or indirect interest in the proposal, bid, contract, franchise, privilege, or other benefit related to the project during their term of appointment and for one year following termination. This prohibition extends to all subcontractors, sub-consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, employees, and agents of the contractor or consultant. The document requires the authorized representative's signature, printed name, date, and title to acknowledge understanding and commitment to these conflict-of-interest provisions as a condition precedent to agreement execution.
