About this file
This file is a collection schedule document for Mount Joy Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, detailing trash and recycling collection areas organized by day of the week. The document outlines specific streets and address ranges assigned to Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday collection routes, enabling service providers and residents to identify their designated collection day. The streets listed span the entire township and include residential areas such as Milton Grove Road, Elizabethtown Road, Mount Gretna Road, and numerous subdivisions and residential courts. This schedule directly supports the Mount Joy Township Trash & Recycling Contract, a three-year service agreement with optional yearly renewals for up to two additional one-year periods, for which sealed bids are due by 10:00 AM on July 13, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Township Municipal Building located at 8853 Elizabethtown Road, Elizabethtown, PA 17022, with all questions regarding bid documents required to be submitted to Cristy Becker at cristy@mtjoytwp.org no later than noon on July 2, 2026.
Bidders must submit a $50,000 bid bond along with the bid form, qualification questionnaire, and non-collusion affidavit. The successful contractor will be selected based on being the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, with particular consideration given to the first-year unit fee. The winning bidder must furnish a performance bond or letter of credit equal to 100% of the contract price and provide a certificate of liability insurance. Bids will remain open for 60 days from the opening date and cannot be withdrawn during this period. All bidding documents are available at no cost through https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/. Mount Joy Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in submissions received.
