About this file
This is a Value Engineering Form required by the State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM) for Design-Build contractors submitting cost proposals for the DNR/DWR Logan Fish Hatchery Residence project. The form mandates that any contractor submitting a cost proposal exceeding the stated project budget must provide value engineering options that reduce the total project cost to within the budgeted amount. Contractors may propose up to ten value engineering options on the form, with the ability to add additional options on supplementary pages using sequential numbering. Each value engineering option must clearly specify the dollar amount of savings it will generate.
The Design-Build project has a maximum budget of $500,000.00 for construction of a single-story, 2,000 square foot rambler residence on the Logan Fish Hatchery property. Contractors submitting cost proposals over the stated budget without accompanying value engineering proposals that bring costs within budget, or those submitting value engineering proposals that fail to achieve budget compliance, may be deemed non-responsive and disqualified from the selection process. The form requires numerical entries for savings amounts, indicated as negative values to reflect cost reductions.
