About this file
Summary
This is a Request for Invitation to Bid (RIB) issued by the Rhode Island Department of Administration for low-voltage electrical power conductors and cables, effective December 24, 2025. The solicitation seeks qualified vendors to supply various types of electrical conductors and cables for use across state and local government entities participating in the purchasing cooperative. The bid request includes specifications for multiple cable types, gauges, and configurations to support infrastructure and electrical projects. The response deadline for interested bidders is specified in the document, with the contract award anticipated following the evaluation of submitted bids. The resulting contract will establish a master supply agreement with terms extending for an initial period, subject to renewal options as detailed in the solicitation documents.
Pricing will be submitted on a unit or line-item basis according to the specifications outlined in the bid schedule. This solicitation is open to all qualified vendors meeting the stated requirements, with no specific set-aside provisions indicated. The contract will be funded through individual state and local agency budgets as they issue purchase orders against the master agreement. Vendors selected through this competitive bidding process will supply materials on an as-needed basis, with pricing locked for the contract term to provide cost certainty for participating government entities.
