About this file
This is Addendum #1 to an Invitation to Bid issued by the Oregon Department of Corrections for the Oregon State Correctional Institution Pharmacy Remodel project (S-29100-00017268). The addendum provides critical clarifications to the original bid specifications and must be signed and returned by the bid closing date of July 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. PST. Two material clarifications are provided: First, the new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) HVAC system is to be installed as a standalone system with no connection to the existing onsite Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems. Second, all interior line sets that are exposed to view must be wrapped in plastic line head casing, while exterior line sets outside the building must be enclosed in stainless steel sleeves as specified in detail A8.1 detail 16 of the original specifications. The addendum constitutes a material change to the original Invitation to Bid documents.
Failure to sign and return this addendum by the bid closing date may result in automatic bid rejection. The project encompasses the demolition and new construction of the Health Services facility medical unit at the correctional institution, with an estimated contract value between $150,000 and $250,000, substantial completion required by September 25, 2026, and final completion by October 2, 2026. Liquidated damages of $310.00 per calendar day apply for missed completion deadlines.

ADDENDUM #1
For
S-29100-00017268 Oregon State Correctional Institution Pharmacy Remodel
Below you will find Revisions, clarifications, deletions and/or additions to the bid specifications. This addendum modifies the related Invitation to Bid only to the extent specifically indicated herein. All other areas not specifically mentioned or affected by this addendum shall remain in full force and effect.
This addendum shall be added to and become part of the original Invitation to Bid.
1. Clarification: Is the intent of the project for the new VRF system to be stand alone, and not include a connection to the DDC Controls system onsite?
Answer: Yes, the intent of the project is for the new VRF system to be stand alone and not include a connection to the DDC Controls system onsite.
2. Clarification: On the OSCI Pharmacy Remodel job, A8.1 detail 16, requires the line sets outside of the building to be in a stainless sleeve. I do not see any direction for the line sets inside of the building. Are these intended to be exposed, ran in plastic line hide, or do they also need a stainless shroud around the line to each head?
Answer: All line sets inside the building (interior and exposed to view) should be wrapped in plastic line head casing.
This addendum represents a material change to the ITB and is required to be signed and returned by the Bid Closing Date and Time. Failure to do so may result in bid rejection.
