About this file
This is a Public Works Contractor Registration Act requirements document issued by Marlboro Township in New Jersey for Bid 2026-08, which requests the provision of Zinc Orthophosphate for the township's water utility. All bidders and their subcontractors must submit evidence of current registration with the New Jersey Commissioner of Labor prior to the bid date to be considered responsive. Contractors are required to complete a certification form answering whether they maintain active registration under the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, provide their company name, authorized signature, title, and date of submission. Failure to provide this documentation will result in automatic rejection of the bid as non-responsive.
The document establishes a mandatory compliance requirement rather than addressing pricing terms, funding sources, or award dates. Registration certificates must be dated prior to the bid submission deadline, and all contractors engaging in public work as defined under N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.26 are subject to this registration requirement. No exceptions or alternative compliance pathways are provided in this registration mandate.
