About this file
This is a GRAMA (Government Records Access and Management Act) affirmation document issued by Salt Lake City Corporation's Department of Airports in connection with a solicitation for passenger survey and polling services at Salt Lake City International Airport. The document serves as a compliance acknowledgment that respondents must sign to participate in the procurement process. Respondents are required to affirm their understanding of Utah's GRAMA requirements, which govern the classification and disclosure of records submitted to public entities. The document outlines the respondent's obligations regarding confidential business information, including the requirement that only materials qualifying for exemption under GRAMA—such as trade secrets, pricing, and non-public financial information—should be marked as confidential. All confidentiality claims must be submitted concurrently with the proposal and must include a concise statement of reasons supporting the confidentiality claim, a redacted version of the proposal, and an unredacted version for internal review.
The document clarifies that confidentiality claims do not guarantee protection of information and that the City will promptly notify respondents of any disclosure requests. Respondents retain the right to pursue appropriate legal actions at their own expense to prevent disclosure of claimed confidential materials. By signing the affirmation, respondents acknowledge they understand these requirements and waive any claims against the City related to disclosure of materials required by GRAMA. A separate GRAMA Business Confidentiality Claim Form is referenced and must be completed by respondents seeking to protect specific materials from public disclosure.
