Funding
Analyze federal award funding, award volume, and top award vehicles across GovTribe reports.
Click Funding, or open GovTribe, expand Reports, and click Funding. Open Funding Analysis when you need the tree map, stream graph, or table views.
Funding and Funding Analysis are available on Launch, Launch Plus, Growth, Growth Plus, and Scale.
Use the Funding page in Reports to understand where federal dollars are moving, which award families are driving the market, and which vehicles, schedules, GWACs, BPAs, and grant programs account for the largest share of obligated funding.
Shared report controls
Most report pages share filters, date controls, and page actions. The controls at the top of a report apply before the chart, table, totals, export, or row-level actions are calculated.

| Add Filter | Opens the filter builder so you can narrow the report by the same kinds of search rules used elsewhere in GovTribe. Filters update the report data, totals, exports, and row actions. |
| Reset | Clears the selected report filters and returns the report to its default filter set. |
| Share | Copies or opens a shareable URL for the current report view, including supported query parameters such as date range, split, and saved search context. |
| Date | Changes the reporting window. The selected date range is kept in the URL so the same report view can be shared or revisited. |
| Search URL values | Report URLs can carry date, split, and searchId values. Those values tell GovTribe which report view, date window, grouping, and saved search filters to load. |
When a report includes row-level actions, those actions use the same filtered search context you are looking at in the report. For example, an Awards button opens an awards search constrained to the selected report row and the filters currently applied to the report.

Funding Analysis
Funding Analysis is the most flexible award-funding report. It starts from transaction data, applies your active filters and date range, then groups obligated dollars by the selected Split By field.
Use Funding Analysis when you want to compare market concentration, drill into a category, or move from a summary pattern to the related awards behind it.
Tree map
The tree map shows relative funding concentration. Larger blocks represent larger obligated-dollar totals, and nested blocks show how the selected split breaks down inside the active filters.

| Date | Changes the transaction date window. Options include Year to Date, Last 6 Months, Last Year, Last 3 Years, Last 5 Years, Last 10 Years, Current FY, Last 3 FY, Last 5 FY, and Last 10 FY. |
| Total | Shows the total obligated dollars included in the current filtered report. |
| Breadcrumbs | Appear after you drill into a tree map level. Use them to move back up without resetting the whole report. |
| Export | Downloads the current grouped data when the selected split supports export. Export is available for splits such as Awardee, Major Agency, NAICS, PSC, Place of Performance, and Federal Grant Programs. |
| Block click | Adds the clicked block as a filter or drilldown when the block represents a filterable value. |
The tree map is powered by award transaction records. GovTribe sums federal value from matching transactions and calculates award counts and time buckets from the same filtered set. The grouping field changes when you choose a different Split By value.
Stream graph
The stream graph uses the same filtered Funding Analysis data, but spreads the grouped dollars across the selected date window so you can see how a market changes over time.

Use the stream graph when timing matters. It is useful for comparing whether one group is consistently funded, rising late in the period, or fading compared with other groups in the same report.
Table
The table turns the Funding Analysis grouping into sortable rows. It is the best view when you need exact dollar totals, percentages, and row actions.

| Dollars Obligated | Shows the obligated-dollar total for that row within the current filters and date range. |
| Percentage | Shows the row's share of the total report dollars. |
| Filter | Adds the row value as a report filter so the chart and table recalculate around that value. |
| Awards | Opens the related awards search in a new tab. The opened search preserves the report filters and adds the row value so you can inspect the underlying awards. |
The Awards action is available when GovTribe can translate the row into an awards search. If the source value cannot be mapped to an award-search filter, the action may not appear for that row.
Funding
The Funding report shows obligated dollars over time across the major award transaction families.

GovTribe builds the Funding report from transaction records tied to federal contract awards, federal contract subawards, federal grant awards, and federal grant subawards. The chart groups transactions by transaction date and award family, then sums obligated value for each bucket.
Awards
The Awards report shows award volume over time instead of obligated dollars.

GovTribe builds the Awards report from federal contract awards, federal contract subawards, federal grant awards, and federal grant subawards. The chart groups records by award date and award family, then counts matching awards in each date bucket.

Top IDIQs ranks master indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity vehicles by obligated funding.

Top Schedules ranks master GSA Schedule vehicles by obligated funding.
