A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Kent County Airport Terminal Building. The design must be signed and sealed by a professional engineer. Contractors must bid all three alternates as independent projects; only one will be awarded. Minimum internal ceiling height is 12 feet; minimum hangar door height is 12 feet. LED interior and exterior lighting must provide minimum 1 foot-candle in front of all doors and 50 foot-candles within the hangar. Electrical design must be based on single-phase power only. The total contract time is 165 calendar days for onsite construction, calculated from Notice to Proceed anticipated in Spring 2027. Liquidated damages are $3,000 per calendar day. The project is funded in part by Federal Aviation Administration grants under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), with project numbers IIJA Project No. 3-51-0041-026, DOAV Project No. CF0041-27, and DOAV Project No. CS0041-19. Questions are due June 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. local time via email to John D. Borgie or Amy M. Ferrell. Addendum No. 1 was issued June 4, 2026.
