SECTION 102800 - TOILET, BATH, AND LAUNDRY ACCESSORIES
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.1 SUMMARY
A. This Section includes the following:
1. Restroom accessories.
1.2 SUBMITTALS
A. Product Data: For each type of product indicated.
B. Product Schedule:
1. Identify locations using room designations indicated on Drawings.
2. Identify products using designations indicated on Drawings.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1 MANUFACTURERS
A. Manufacturer: Item Manufacturer and Model identified in Toilet Accessory Legend is basis of design for that particular product. Subject to compliance with requirements, provide toilet accessories by one of the following:
1. A & J Washroom Accessories, Inc.
2. American Specialties, Inc.
3. Bobrick Washroom Equipment, Inc.
4. Bradley Corporation.
5. General Accessory Manufacturing Co. (GAMCO).
B. Toilet and Bath Accessories Schedule: Provide materials and products that result in quality, colors, and type of accessories complying with the Toilet Accessory Legend, as indicated below, and indicated on the drawings.
2.2 MATERIALS, GENERAL
A. Stainless Steel: AISI Type 302/304, with polished No. 4 finish, 0.034-inch (22-gage) minimum thickness.

B. Brass: Leaded and unleaded, flat products, ASTM B19; rods, shapes, forgings, and flat products with finished edges; ASTM B16, Castings, ASTM B30.
C. Sheet Steel: Cold rolled, commercial quality ASTM A366, 0.04 inch (20 gage) minimum. Surface preparation and metal pretreatment as required for applied finish.
D. Galvanized Steel Sheet: ASTM A527, G60.
E. Galvanized Steel Mounting Devices: ASTM A153, hot-dip galvanized after fabrication.
F. Fasteners: Screws, bolts and other devices of same material as accessory unit, or of galvanized steel where concealed.
2.3 FABRICATION
A. Surface-Mounted Toilet Accessories, General: Except where otherwise indicated, fabricate units with tight seams and joints, exposed edges rolled. Hang doors or access panels with continuous stainless steel piano hinge. Provide concealed anchorage wherever possible.
B. Grab Bar:
1. Stainless-Steel Nominal Thickness: Minimum 0.05 inch.
2. Mounting: Concealed with manufacturer's standard flanges and anchors.
3. Gripping Surfaces: Manufacturer's standard slip-resistant texture.
4. Outside Diameter: 1-1/2 inches for heavy-duty applications.
C. Soap Dispenser: requires maximum 5-lb force to operate.
D. Keys: Provide universal keys for access to toilet accessory units requiring internal access for servicing, resupply, etc. Provide minimum of six keys to Owner's representative.
2.4 UNDERLAVATORY GUARDS
A. Basis-of-Design Product: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide Truebro Inc, Basin Guard Model #36 or an approved equal product by one of the following:
1. Plumberex Specialty Products, Inc.
2. TCI Products.
B. Underlavatory Guard:
1. Description: Insulating pipe covering for supply and drain piping assemblies that prevent direct contact with and burns from piping, and allow service access without removing coverings at ADA-compliant wheelchair accessible lavatories.
2. Material and Finish: Antimicrobial, molded-plastic, white.

PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
A. Install accessories according to manufacturers' written instructions, using fasteners appropriate to substrate indicated and recommended by unit manufacturer. Install units level, plumb, and firmly anchored in locations and at heights indicated.
