Question: With regard to section 1.4.5.4. ii, paragraph 8. Please explain how Contractors will initiate the NACI/T1 investigation when only the government Site Security Officer (SSO) has the ability to initiate the EQIP NACI process that goes to PSIP?

Response: The process below (SOP) is the path that is followed:

Contractor completes EQUIP application Contractor provides the completed EQUIP application to the Wing Security Officer (SO) (where the applicant will work).

The Wing SO will input the completed EQUIP application into the EQUIP system to complete the

NACI.

Once the NACI is completed the applicant reports to the Wing SO for finger prints to complete the NACI check.

Once the NACI is completed (and positive outcome) the applicant reports to the Wing TASS to get the CAC application started.
