19 Solar collector and wanted to ask the question. It says to provide temporary support during construction. This tells me that it needs to stay up on the roof. I am concerned that it will be broken or blown off by high winds if it’s left up on the roof and not bolted down to anything.
Would it be ok to take down off the roof and support on the ground somewhere during construction? Im not quite sure if this thing is supposed to remain operational during construction or not, it says to remove the pipe penetrations, but not the pipes.
27‐Jan‐21 The Contractor can remove the solar hot water system after the function check and place it on the ground during the construction project and reinstall it when the roof has been installed and inspected by the contracting officer.
