About this file

This document is a Letter of Authorization (RFB.LOA.VII.2025) for the City of Oklahoma City or a related Public Trust, providing guidance on the proper authorization for signing legally binding documents. The form specifies the authorized signatories for different types of business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), partnerships, and joint ventures, detailing the specific titles and roles that can execute documents on behalf of the organization.

The document outlines the requirements for authorized officers based on the type of business entity. For corporations, the authorizing officer must hold a title such as President, Vice-President, Chief Executive Officer, or Chairperson as defined in the bylaws or board resolutions. For LLCs, authorized signatories must have an ownership interest or be designated to manage the company. Partnerships require a General Partner, and joint ventures must have an authorized officer from each venture. The form provides a template for formally authorizing an agent to sign documents when the statutorily authorized officer cannot do so directly.
