About this file

This document is a Revised Method of Operations for Blanket Purchase Order #19DPP00440 issued by the State of New Jersey Department of General Services for elevator maintenance, repair, testing, and inspection services. Four vendors have been awarded this blanket purchase order: Champion Elevator Corporation (Blanket P.O. #22-GNSV2-01885), Schindler Elevator Corporation (Blanket P.O. #20-GNSV2-01121), Slade Industries, Inc. (Blanket P.O. #20-GNSV2-01119), and Specialized Elevator Corp dba TEC Elevator (Blanket P.O. #26-GNSV1-134353). The contract is available to all State agencies and Cooperative Purchasing Program participants throughout New Jersey.

The services covered include preventative maintenance, repairs, testing, and inspection of vertical transportation equipment across four geographical regions: North, Central, South, and Capital Complex. The contract term is three years with two one-year extension options. Vendors are assigned to regions on a non-exclusive basis, allowing using agencies to solicit competitive quotes and select vendors based on price and other factors. Billing is structured through three net price line items: monthly maintenance tasks, hourly labor repair rates (with separate rates for regular hours, overtime, and Sunday/holiday work), and supplies and materials with fixed vendor markups. Vendors must provide 24/7 telephone accessibility, respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes, and provide callback service within one hour during regular business hours. Lead mechanics must have a minimum of five years of experience, and all work is to be performed on-site unless approved otherwise.
