About this file

This federal contract opportunity solicitation seeks to replace two floating dock sections and pedestrian gangways at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center shoreside dock area. The purpose of the project is to extend the life cycle of the dock to a 20-30 year period, ensuring continued safe and stable visitor access to the USS Arizona Memorial. The new post-tensioned, pre-fabricated floating dock sections will be approximately 90 feet long by 15 feet wide by 8 feet deep and equipped with skid resistant coatings, anodized aluminum rails and gates, mooring cleats and fenders, a dive ladder, and davit. The existing guide piles securing the dock sections will be removed and a new shoreside structural mooring system installed on land for stabilization. The solicitation is issued by the National Park Service National Office within the Department of the Interior to replace aging infrastructure and reduce risks for over one million annual visitors to the Pearl Harbor National Monument.
