About this file
This solicitation seeks to replace two existing floating concrete dock sections and associated gangways and mooring equipment at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center in Hawaii. The National Park Service is seeking to procure the fabrication and installation of two new post-tensioned prefabricated floating dock sections, each measuring approximately 90 feet long by 15 feet wide by 8 feet deep. The docks will be equipped with skid resistant coatings, anodized aluminum rails and gates, mooring cleats and fenders, a dive ladder, and a davit for lifting heavy items into and out of the water. Two existing gangways and guide piles securing the existing dock sections will also be replaced. A new shoreside structural mooring system will be installed on land to provide stabilization for the new dock and gangways. The purpose of the project is to extend the useful life of the dock infrastructure to 20-30 years to ensure continued safe and stable public access to the USS Arizona Memorial, a major tourist destination receiving over one million visitors annually.
