About this file
This federal contract opportunity solicitation requests proposals to replace two floating dock sections and pedestrian gangways at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center shoreside dock area. The purpose of the project is to extend the life cycle of the dock to 20-30 years by replacing the existing concrete dock sections and gangways with new post-tensioned pre-fabricated floating dock sections, equipped with skid resistant coatings, aluminum rails and gates, mooring cleats and fenders, a dive ladder and davit. The existing guide piles securing the dock sections will also be removed. A new shoreside structural mooring system will be installed on land for stabilization. The dock provides the only access point for over one million annual visitors to the USS Arizona Memorial. Proposals are sought by the National Park Service National Office within the Department of the Interior, with the goal of ensuring continued safe and stable visitor access to the memorial for many US and international visitors to Hawaii.
