About this file

This federal contract opportunity is for replacing two floating dock sections and pedestrian gangways at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center in Hawaii. The purpose of the project is to replace the existing concrete dock sections that are approximately 90 feet long by 15 feet wide by 8 feet deep with new post-tensioned pre-fabricated floating dock sections of similar dimensions. The replacement dock sections will include skid resistant coatings, anodized aluminum rails and gates, mooring cleats and fenders, a dive ladder, and a davit for lifting heavy items. The two existing pedestrian gangways and guide piles securing the dock sections will also be replaced. A new shoreside structural mooring system will be installed on land to provide stabilization for the new dock and gangways. This project will extend the life of the visitor center dock area for 20-30 years, ensuring continued safe and stable access to the USS Arizona Memorial, a major destination for visitors to Hawaii, and allowing the National Park Service to fulfill its mission. The solicitation was issued by the National Park Service National Office within the Department of the Interior.
