Additionally, ships force submitted SAMM feedback recommending changes to the database entries shall be processed. CDRL 1423-29 Feedback submittals, CDRL 1423-46 SAMM Development Metric Report.
2.2. Cloning the Database (Follow-on ships only). The Contractor shall clone the prior ships SAMM database in the SAMM production site and rename it to the ship subject to the SAMM development task within 15 days of award.
2.3. Equipment List Development. For first of class ships the Contractor shall create an equipment list in SAMM in sufficient time to allow for maintenance development to be completed prior to the delivery date. Technical/operational documentation will be provided as Government Furnished Information (GFI) – consider Attachment 17 Master Equipment List the GFI for this sample task order. The Contractor shall use the GFI to enter the Ship Name, Equipment’s Functional Description (EFD), manufacturer, model, Equipment ratings into the SAMM database. The Contractor shall determine the System, Description, Sub-Description, equipment serial number, location, equipment attributes, Critical Risk Factors, Level of Maintenance and condition monitoring technology recommendation for all equipment using the latest version of Attachment 04 for guidance. CDRL 1423-24 Equipment List, CDRL 1423-46 SAMM Development Metric Report.

If a work item specification cannot be located then a work item place holder shall be created for those maintenance tasks (Task Codes).
2.4.3. The Contractor shall develop and associate the ships applicable FOS and ROS operational statuses per the direction of the COR.
2.4.4. All equipment, tasks codes and maintenance plans shall be added by the Contractor to the SAMM consolidated database by initiating a SAMM feedback in the SAMM Data Maintenance Module and completed prior to the SAMM system installation aboard the vessel. Each maintenance narrative requires an M-Code which is the unique identifier, estimated man-hours to complete, title, narrative, references, precautions, and as applicable, special tools, test equipment and/or special tests. The Contractor shall apply barcodes and mounting blocks to that equipment designated to have vibration monitoring applied as defined in the latest version of Attachment 04. The Contractor shall develop MIDs (Machine IDs) for the machines/equipment aboard the ship monitored by the vibration program, and develop the Vibration Test Analysis Guide (VTAG) (CDRL 1423-23 Vibration Test Analysis Guide (VTAG)). Refer to Attachment 03, for guidance. (CDRL 1423- 19 Trip Report)
2.7. Oil Analysis. The Contractor shall coordinate with the COR to acquire the results of the ship’s Lube Oil (LO) survey that lists the equipment and the associated lube oil type. The Contractor shall define a Sample Point Identification (SPID) for each sample point and applicable LO, enter the SPID and product information in the SAMM database and add the appropriate L.O. sample M-Code to the equipment maintenance plan. Refer to the latest version of Attachment 04 for guidance. (CDRL 1423-27 OAS Equipment Sampling Report)
2.8. ShipClip Interface. The Contractor shall ensure that the SAMM HSCs match the CMLS (Logistics database) HSCs to provide the crew the ability to view logistics data from within the SAMM application.
2.9. Electronic Logkeeping Hardware and Site Licensing. The Contractor shall procure and configure logbook data collectors, docking stations, and eConsole necessary to acquire engineering and deck log parameters. Reference Table 5. Estimated Hardware required for EACH Ship Introduction SAMM Development, Installation & Training Option (applies to both First in Class Ship and Follow-on Ship Options).
2.10. Electronic Logkeeping Database Creation and Installation. The Contractor shall create the Electronic Engineering and Deck Logs database based on the paper logs and input from the ship’s crew during the equipment ship check. Install the Shipslog, Logbook, and eConsole systems. The Contractor shall conduct a post ship delivery ship check to finalize the data collection on the first of class only to ensure that the parameters collected in the data collector appear in the order that is acceptable to the watch stander and is all inclusive. At the direction of the COR, pictures of gauge boards may be requested when conducting this first of class ship check (CDRL 1423-36) Reference Travel Tables provided in paragraph 3.11.1.
