Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E)
The selections for the Concept FF&E package portion of this project are to be provided by manufacturers with NAVFAC BPA contracts or GSA contracts. The Basis of Design concept selections are to be in accordance with the NAVFAC Washington technical performance selection criteria. The FF&E package is to be included as a planned modification in the construction contract for the project and will be funded with O&M monies.
Design Intention:
The interior design is to have a strong influence on the overall well-being of building personnel.
Aesthetically pleasing surroundings start with good interior finishes and are completed with appropriate furnishings. The FF&E design criteria is to include finishes that are sustainable, calming in color, yet maintain interest with pattern and texture to enhance the productivity of the personnel.

Furniture is to support the highly technical functions of the facilities and allow for flexibility for expansion and mobility. The furniture systems selected are to accommodate connectivity through both flooring and through the walls. The facility requires access to classified and non-classified networks.
Modular furniture will be considered to provide adaptability to respond to changing program and missions.
Furniture standards should support the personnel work needs from private/solitary work, private/confidential work to teaming interactive work.
Furniture plans will be provided as reference and to reflect FF&E footprints that can be accommodated in the space provided. These will be reviewed with the users to confirm future changes to the FF&E plans and to ensure all FF&E can be coordinated to the building electrical and communication systems.
New FF&E items will be keyed, identified and an estimated cost summary will be provided. Performance criteria specifications will be provided for the FF&E items. Workstation plans and isometrics will also be included, indicating all required panels, work surfaces, accessories, electrical, voice and data requirements and coordination.
