REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION

RESPONSES TO REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION (RFI’S)

Question 001: Is solicitation N0042120B0003 ‐ Combat Integration & Identification Systems (CI&IDS) Lab Revitalization Project a small business set‐aside project? The project is not denoted on Beta.Sam as such, but makes reference to the small business threshold. If the project is not a set‐aside, is any weight given to small business concerns in the evaluation process?

Response 001: This requirement is not being set aside for small businesses. No weight will be given to small business concerns as this requirement is being solicited under sealed bidding procedures where award will be made to the responsible bidder with the lowest price based on the base and all options exercised at the time of award.

Question 002: The drawings issued for the project only scale to 8-1/2 x 11. We need the drawings issued to scale in order to do accurate take offs. Please reissue the drawings to the proper scale.

Response 002: It is a user setting under print options; the end user will need to change the size to Actual versus fit to page. The size of the actual document is 34in x 22in.

Question 003: Will it be possible for you to share the list of other contractors who have requested a site visit?

Response 003: Site Visit Attendee List will be provided via amendment 0002.

Question 004: To ensure we schedule the right subcontractors to participate in the visit with us, we would like to review full-size drawings. Please advise when/where drawings will be available; also, the availability for a site visit Response 004: See response to question 002.

Question 005: Drawing G-003 indicates three bid options for the job—(Bid Options 1,2 & 3). However, drawing S- 001 indicates a fourth bid option as stated under section F. Bid Options. The fourth option indicates the add to add a generator. Please confirm whether there are three or four bid options for this project.

Response 005: There are four bid options.

Question 006: Drawings I-101 & I-110 indicates FF&E items. In the General Notes in I-101 it states that these FF&E drawings are provided for coordination with building systems only. Who furnishes & installs the FF&E package as indicated in the architectural plans, the Owner or the G.C. Please confirm. Also, if the G.C. is to supply & install the FF&E package as listed in the Furniture Schedule please provide manufacturer product specifications as to what needs to be included. There are none in the current set of product specifications.

Response 006: The contractor shall procure and install based off CLIN 0006 FF&E Planned Modification.

Product specifications are listed on I-101. The Government is not authorized to provide manufacturer information.

Question 007: We are unable to open/download the FFandE Concept Design Package.pdf from beta.sam.gov. Is there another way to access this file?

Response 007: Amendment 0001 was issued to delete/disregard the attachment.
