a. Yes, the warehouse is climate controlled.

13. What is the down time period and can the work be done in a continuous phase?

a. See RFP 2.1.1. One aisle at a time and shut down for no longer than 14 days. ASRS is currently at 65-70% of stowage capacity.

14. The RFP mentions 100 transactions per hour? Is that for the entire system? What is defined as a transaction?

a. A transaction is the operator entry and retrieval from and return of a tray to its intended ASRS location. 100 transactions per hour are for the entire system.

15. Are there any similar systems at other Naval bases?

a. Market research has identified several ASRS systems at various military bases. It is not known if any are “similar”.

16. What is the height of the bins? Is the configuration the same from row to row?

a. Metal trays are described in RFP paragraphs, Site Description and Background and

1.1.2.6. Storage heights for are varied. Common Bin heights are 4, 8, and 12 inches.

See Excel Map.

17. Will the supplier be required to bring the space up to current OSHA requirements or is the current system acceptable?
