About this file

This Insurance Coverage Descriptions and Requirements exhibit pertains to Winnebago County's Wittman Airport Control Tower Chiller Replacement project. The document establishes comprehensive insurance requirements that the contractor must maintain throughout the project execution. The contractor is required to provide a Certificate of Insurance demonstrating Workers' Compensation coverage compliant with state law and Employers' Liability insurance with minimum limits of $100,000 per accident. Additionally, the contractor must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with a minimum limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence/$1,000,000 aggregate, covering premises operations, products and completed operations, broad form property damage, contractual liability, and personal injury. Automobile Liability insurance is also required with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence/$1,000,000 aggregate, covering owned, hired, and non-owned automobiles. Special provisions increase liability limits to $2,000,000 for projects involving excavation, underground work, or collapse, and to $5,000,000 if asbestos work is involved.

The Certificate of Insurance must list Winnebago County, Attn: Insurance Administrator, at Winnebago County Courthouse, P.O. Box 2808, Oshkosh, WI 54903-2808, as the certificate holder, with the involved County departments noted under "Description of Operations." Winnebago County, its employees, elected officials, representatives, and board members must be named as Additional Insureds on both General Liability and Automobile Liability policies. The insurance policies must include a thirty-day notice clause to the County prior to cancellation or material policy changes, with notification directed to the Winnebago County Insurance Administrator at the courthouse address. Standard cancellation clauses on Certificates of Insurance are not acceptable. If subcontractors are engaged, the contractor must require them to furnish identical certificates of insurance to the Winnebago County Insurance Administrator prior to the contract taking effect.
