About this file

This is an indemnification document template for a 2026 consultant engagement related to Lakeland Electric's MGT1 Water Mist Fire Protection system replacement project in Florida. The document establishes the contractual indemnification framework between Lakeland Electric and the consultant responsible for overseeing or executing the replacement of the existing fire suppression system with a self-contained high-pressure water mist fire protection system. The project involves a system that operates via stored-pressure nitrogen/water cylinders and electrically supervised solenoid-operated valves, with no electric motor-driven pumps. The anticipated work window is scheduled for September 13-19 to coincide with a planned MGT1 outage period, minimizing operational disruption to the facility.

The indemnification document outlines the consultant's obligations to protect and hold harmless Lakeland Electric from claims, damages, and liabilities arising from the consultant's performance or negligence during the project execution. The template specifies the scope of indemnification coverage, liability allocation, insurance requirements, and the consultant's responsibility for third-party claims and bodily injury or property damage that may occur during the system replacement activities. The document serves as a standard contractual protection mechanism for the municipality and establishes clear risk allocation between the parties prior to project commencement.
