Q&A: SOLICITATION HSCG80-13-R-P45218
1) Work Item 9: Grey Water Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect, Paragraph 3.2.1 Content
Removal.
Question: How many gallons of waste will contractor remove from tank?
Answer: Please review the Table 1.1, for requirements for Grey Water Tank clean and inspection.
The cutter will suck down the grey water tanks to the level listed under “Low suction (Gallons)”.
2) Work Item 10: Sewage Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect, Paragraph 3.2.1, Content Removal
Question: How many gallons of waste will contractor remove from tank?
Answer: Please review the Table 1.1, for Sewage Tank clean and inspection requirements.
3) Work Item 13, Tanks (Potable Water), Clean and Inspect, Paragraph 3.2. Tank Content
Removal.
Question: How many gallons of water will contractor remove from tank?
Answer: Please review the table 1.1. The cutter will suck down the potable water tanks to the low suction (gallons) levels as designated in the table, column B. Example: Location 4-FP-O-W, Low
Suction (gallons), 120 gallons.
4) Because showers and heads will need to be provided, will there be a pier-side system for disposal?
Answer: A shower / toilet trailer would need to be placed in the parking area approximately 150 feet from the sewage connection.
5) For electrical, is a pier connection available (and type plug connector) for contractor use?
Answer: The contractor may use the plugs on the cutter provided the contractor’s equipment can operate with standard 60HZ, 100Amp 440 power. If the work is done on the pier, the contractor will need to provide a generator.
6) The Lay-down area: how much space is available?
Answer: There is limited pier space allotted in that area, approximately 100 feet is available for Contractor use on the pier. CGC ACTIVE's pier space is available for Contractor use, provided the trailer / truck does not exceed the limitations. A small trailer would be best, as there is a
7600lb/axle limit on the vehicle that can be placed on the pier. The laydown for the work area would be on the pier. NOTE: CONTRACTOR MUST contain slag, work debris, waste and other items from falling through the wood on the pier and into the water.
