08‐11‐2015 Clarification for RRU Performance Specifications, sections 3.2.2.2.1, 3.2.2.2.2, and 3.2.2.2.3 ( Page 11)
Question: The 23 degrees in the vertical axis appears to be incorrect, the nominal eye position is only 13 degrees above display normal... which value is to be used?
Answer: Concur with the discrepancy within the RRU Performance Specification regarding vertical axis viewing. The correct value is 13 degrees. Primary/Secondary/Peripheral Viewing Angle limits specified in Section 3.2.2.2.x should be 13 degrees (not 23 degrees) +/‐ 10/20/30 degrees, respectively.
Question: There is no starting horizontal angle shown; only the range required...the nominal horizontal eye position is 20 degrees off from display center...is that the value to use for the center of the cone?
Answer: No. The value to be used is 0 degrees. Viewing angles cannot be biased left or right as, when the RRU is installed in the left position, the primary operator is to the left of the display and, when installed in the right position, the primary operator is to the right of the display.
