Questions and Answers #1

13 November 2018

1. Delivery Schedule Requirements -- The stated delivery time for Class I is 3 units per month, but the BEQ is 12/year. It is burdensome to industry to establish a production line of this magnitude for only 4 months. Is it acceptable to propose 2 units per month?

No…however the offeror may submit their delivery particulars in their proposal. (Example: Delivery schedule is 2 units in 60 days, then 2 per month until completion of delivery order.)

2. Delivery Schedule Requirements -- The stated delivery time for Class II is 2 units per month, but the BEQ is 1/year. Can the requirement for 2 units per month be removed?

No…however the offeror may submit their delivery particulars in their proposal. (Example: Delivery schedule is 2 units in 60 days, then 2 per month until completion of delivery order.)

3. Salient Characteristics, U-30 Description, Design and Construction -- the capacity requirements are not compatible with commercial vehicle chassis capabilities. Is it acceptable to propose 2 unique products, one as a Class I and another as a Class II?

2 unique products are “not” acceptable. Class 1 and Class 2 shall be of the same design. The only difference shall be ballast weight and resulting GVWR. Karaoke
