Statement of Objectives 9 Nov 2012
QSEU 12-3003 ADD HC-130J AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE UNIT FACILITY , B648
Statement of Objectives:
This project will consist of adding 8,300 SF to the existing maintenance unit, B648. Work will include, but not be limited to, reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, split-faced stacked blocked walls, structural steel frame, standing seam metal roof (3/12 min slope) with one foot perforated soffits, fire detection/suppression, utilities, landscaping and other site improvements, communications support and all other necessary work to provide a complete and usable facility.
Work will also include constructing a covered canopy over outside equipment storage area (approx. 100 ft x 47 ft) with appropriate tie-in to the existing facility, flashing and lighting. Work will include all appropriate structural and utility tie-ins to the existing structure. This project will comply with DoD antiterrorism force protection requirements (ATFP), Attachment #4, per unified facilities criteria. This project will include the relocation of an existing air handler unit that supplies B643.
The design of this project shall comply with the Moody AFB Architecture Engineering Design Guide, Specifications and applicable Life Safety Codes. All drawings shall be completed in AutoCAD. Drawings shall be placed on 30”x42” sheets. Final drawings shall be approved by Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) and other appropriate disciplines.
Initial Construction Document at 35% “may” include at time of proposal:

• Life Safety Plan
Final Construction Documents will consist of the following (shall be a minimum of 65%):

• Completed AF form 1354
• ATFP Standoff Criteria
• Reference Engineering Technical
Letters (ETL’s)
• Progress Schedule should be in electrical format such as, or equivalent to Microsoft Project.
