Statement of Objectives 29 September 2013
QSEU 12-3003 ADD HC-130J AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE UNIT FACILITY , B648
Statement of Objectives:
This project will consist of adding 8,300 SF to the existing maintenance unit, B648. Work will include, but not be limited to, reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, split-faced stacked blocked walls, structural steel frame, standing seam metal roof (3/12 min slope) with one foot perforated soffits, fire detection/suppression, utilities, landscaping and other site improvements, communications support and all other necessary work to provide a complete and usable facility.
Assume that the building is vacant, that utilities will be supplied by the government, that you will make your own connections to utilities and that new construction will match existing building
(interior and exterior). See floor plan layout for direction on what the addition consist of. Work will also include constructing a covered canopy over outside equipment storage area (approx.
100 ft x 47 ft) with appropriate tie-in to the existing facility, flashing and lighting. Work will include all appropriate structural and utility tie-ins to the existing structure. This project will comply with UFC 4-010-01 as outlined in Conventional Construction Parameters, Attachment
#4. This project will include the relocation of an existing air handler unit that supplies B643.
The design of this project shall comply with the Moody AFB Architecture Engineering Design
Guide, Specifications and applicable Life Safety Codes. All drawings shall be completed in
AutoCAD. Drawings shall be placed on 30”x42” sheets. 35% drawings will be required for the solicitation proposal and for future task order proposals. Final drawings (at 65% or greater) require Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) approval and other appropriate disciplines.
Initial Construction Document at 35% “may” include at time of proposal:
