Repair Renovate Dorm 748 (USMC)

Little Rock AFB, AR Responses to Questions

2 April 2009

RFI #62: The interior closet doors are not referenced to remove and install new nor is the hardware called to replace. Is this the intent?

Response to # 62 – The closet doors are not scheduled to be removed. The only hardware being replaced is the missing hardware such as door stops that are noted on the plans. Contractor will be responsible for making sure existing doors are clean and useable.

RFI #63: The drawings call to replace 3 dorm bathroom doors. Is this all that is to replace? No hardware is called to change on the remaining bathroom doors.

Response to # 63 – The bathroom doors to be replaced are marked on the plans. Contractor will be responsible for making sure existing doors are clean and useable.

RFI #64: No dimensional drawings can be found. Could you please direct to the correct plan so that the total square footage for painting can be computed?

Response to # 64 – All plans are drawn in the correct scale. There are no known dimensioned drawings of this facility. Contractor will be responsible for field verifying all dimensions/room sizes of the existing facility prior to bid.

RFI #65: If leaks are discovered when the HVAC piping system is refilled, who will be responsible? Will this be an item that can be addressed with a change order if it becomes an issue?

Response #65 – It would be the Government’s responsibility and a change order would be issued.

RFI # 66: Are all the RFI’s and answers to be acknowledged as the amendment will be on the solicitation, offer and award?

Response #66 – RFI responses are not ammendments and thus do not need to be acknowledged.
