F5A3CF8219AW01- COMM Fiber Optic Cabling Survey Questions/Answers #2

Dated: 27 August 2018

1) Can you provide me with any specific rules/requirements for work near active runways that might affect the time it may take to complete the work? All work on or near active runway will be coordinated with the Navy host and an government escort will be provided to ensure all runaway rules are adhered to.

2) Will the government provide the successful contractor with required rules and safety information for working around active runway areas? Same as question 1

3) What is the significance of the markups (red borders) on the drawings that were provided? The red borders designate the property lines for the base.

4) What information, other than coordinates of manholes and handholes are you looking for the GPS markups on the drawings? Manholes, hand holes, and the duct work between all.

5) I know that you answered another question earlier that the contractor was supposed to propose a completion time, my new question is - do you have a 'DESIRED' completion timeframe? The government has no way to estimate the completion time for this large project.

6) The cables shown on the drawings sometimes are shown as passing thru SQUARES and sometimes thru CIRCLES? What does each one indicate (I did not see a legend on the drawings) The Navy host provided this map and performed the survey to complete the map . While we can not guarantee the accuracy, the intent was for the squares to designate manholes and the circles to designate hand holes.

7) Are we ONLY responsible to survey the fiber optic cables shown on the drawings?

The Contractor shall be responsible for surveying fiber optic cable and duct work going from each of the 4 core node buildings to 52 end buildings.

The core node buildings are as follows: 1251, 1654, 1730 and 1776 The end buildings arere as follows:
