Pressure relief valves are to be provided by contractor. This is outside of H&T’s scope of supply
The general contractor will install the filter media on site. The life of the media is anticipated to be 7-10 years before needing replacement. This is dependent upon care and influent water quality.
Ductile iron piping is too large for the filter systems used. We could use welded steel as an option, but after labor and painting it is the same price to use sch.10 stainless steel.
Stainless steel is more durable so that is our recommendation.
Start up media seasoning is to be performed the contractor. Time is included in the proposal to oversee some of the media loading process, instructional time and assisting with putting the system into operation. An estimated three trips over a period of 9 days are anticipated.
Finish coating will be included, but touch up paint will need to be applied in the field.
The warrantee will cover 2 years per owner’s request.
H&T will guarantee treatment to the appropriate iron and manganese MCLs or 0.3 mg/L and 0.05 mg/L respectively.
Estimated Schedule:
Engineering time: 12 weeks
Tank assembly: 16 weeks
Control panel assembly: 35 weeks
System assembly and testing: 8 weeks
Anticipated Date of completion mid Nov 2025.
Invoicing will be as follows:
20% of the total contract price will be invoiced upon approval of submittals
35% of the total contract price will be invoiced upon start of assembly
40% of the total contract price will be invoiced upon delivery of equipment to job site
5% of the total contract price will be withheld for retainage.

NSF INTERNATIONAL:
The specifications on this project reference NSF 61 for drinking water components.
Our proposal includes as many NSF certified products as possible and commercially available, however there are structural items in our tank interiors that are not available with the NSF certification.
If the proposed materials for a component that will be in contact with the treated water does not have NSF/ANSI 61 certification, the component shall be constructed of material designated as an “acceptable material” in Annex C of the NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 Standard.
Examples of the above are items such as nuts/bolts/washers, screen, angles/flats, studs, etc. These items have been provided for many years in water treatment plants, are normally of #304 and #316 stainless steel, and do not carry the NSF certification.
Tanks that are specified to have an internal lining will be lined with an NSF-61-600 certified painting system.
