II. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Consultant services have been requested for the following items:

At the direction of the District’s Project Manager, Atkins shall develop a strategic plan that assesses current and future needs for the RTMC. II. Interviews of current FDOT TSM&O staff and active partners from outside agencies

Atkins shall interview existing FDOT TSM&O staff and active partner agencies to determine their vision for the future of the RTMC as well as any recommendations for growth. The District’s Project manager will identify partner agency attendees.

Discussions shall include short- and long- term plans for continued work within the Broward and Palm Beach County RTMCs. Between 4 and 6 interviews will be scheduled as part of this scope.

Task Deliverable

III. Comparison of Similar TMCs

Atkins shall perform a comparison of six (6) similar TMCs in the Country. Atkins will first provide a list of TMCs for the District Project Manager’s consideration and approval. The comparison should include number of employees, square footage, number of stations, number of monitors per station, etc. Atkins shall also pick other assessment categories which shall include, but are not limited to, management of freeway and arterial operations, office support space, plans to include a virtual TMC, and parking. A subtask under this item shall be completion of a parking study to determine how many parking spaces are required at the RTMCs according to the number of employees/offices/square footage.
