Florida Caverns State Park New Campground

CN808 TA1

Subtask 1: Utility Survey Description: Southeastern Surveying and Mapping Corp. (SSMC) will provide Subsurface Utility Designation Services on the project. This includes reviewing the proposed project area for existing utilities via desktop review of available information and then a site specific survey of utilities along Caverns Road, in the proposed campground area, and existing pressure water/sewer lines. SSMC will also perform utility designation and test holes on Caverns Road and within the park at areas to be affected by the work.

Utility Designation & Verification (Test Holes):

1. Horizontally locate and field mark (paint & flags) all public subsurface utility mains found excluding gravity sewer lines and irrigation in the project area.

2. Coordinate Sunshine 811 and utility locates to include supplemental calls to each locator to expedite the field marking of each subsurface utility as required by law.

3. Expose the subject utilities by using non destructive vacuum excavation methods at up to eight (8) specific locations as directed by the engineer.

4. Confirm/determine the vertical and horizontal position of the subject utilities and record the information, using the locate marks provided by the utility owners and/or their representatives unless otherwise requested by client.

5. Any asphalt/concrete removed will be repaired using like materials.

6. Tie each test hole location to a minimum of three visible physical features to enable this data to be added to the survey.

7. Provide project management and coordination throughout the duration of all field activities.

Deliverables:

Test hole reports/sketches, .pdf

Performance Measures: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
