About this file

This is an Addendum No. 2 to a Request for Proposals issued by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for design-build services related to Project No. BR-65-2601, "Baseball Softball Complex Upgrades" at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding the scope of work for the project, which includes upgrades to the baseball and softball complex facilities. The document provides responses to ten questions submitted by prospective bidders, clarifying project requirements and existing conditions. Key clarifications include that existing bleacher capacity is nominally 451 seats, concept renderings are available for viewing, lighting and scoreboards are excluded from the project scope, and the new field surface type (synthetic, natural, or hybrid) remains to be determined under a separate design project. The design must incorporate prevailing accessibility standards for ADA compliance, with the determination of a new ADA ramp versus use of existing infrastructure to be made during the design phase.

Additional clarifications indicate that rough-ins and infrastructure to accommodate audiovisual systems are included in the scope of construction and landscaping (SCL), while Jumbotron and other AV hardware will be acquired separately. The outdoor grill will be demolished as part of the project, while the existing pavilion and restrooms will remain, with three toilet fixtures available for both men and women. The existing locker rooms are located in Peeler Hall to the northeast of the outfield. Georgia College and State University maintains design standards that will govern the project development.
